Welcome to the Sacred Visions - Voices of the Soul
web exhibition!
In April 2003, I invited workshop participants to collaborate in a group
SoulCollage exhibition. Twenty artists chose to participate. The exhibition
was both a celebration of the artists and an invitation to the public to
view these deeply personal images.
After a nine-month birthing process, Sacred Visions – Voices of the
Soul, opened on January 9th, 2004 at Antioch University in Seattle,
Washington. The exhibition was enthusiastically received, with over 200
people attending the opening reception, and enjoyed a successful three-month
run.
Throughout the exhibition, viewers shared how moved they were by the strengths,
vulnerabilities, and wisdom they saw reflected in the images, and many were
inspired to begin creating their own SoulCollage cards. When it was time
to take the artwork down, it was clear that the exhibition needed to live
on in virtual time so that it could continue to inspire others.
The artists and I are thrilled to present it here today on the web. Enjoy!
Warmly,
